Furnish and install a packaged, totally self contained, explosion proof (general purpose optional) cab mount air conditioner is ETL certified by Intertek Tesing Services to be in compliance with applicable UL and CSA codes and standards for Class I or II, Divisions I or II hazardous locations. The unit shall include an *explosion proof full hermetic compressor. The evaporator and condenser fan motors shall be *explosion proof. High voltage electrical controls shall be in one NEMA 7 *explosion proof control box. Low voltage electrical controls shall be served by an intrinsically safe relay. Unit options shall include *explosion proof electric heat, Heresite baked phenolic or epoxy coil coatings for corrosion protection, and roof curb.

The entire unit shall be constructed of 16 gauge type 304 (type 316 optional) stainless steel for maximum protection from corrosive environments. The evaporator and condenser coils shall have copper tubes and aluminum fins. The evaporator section shall be insulated with 1" thick 1 1/2 lbs. density acoustic insulation. The compressor shall be mounted on internal and external vibration isolators for quiet operation. The compressor shall be high efficiency full hermetic type. A pre-trapped condensate drain connection shall be provided.

The unit controls shall include a built-in thermostat, high refrigerant pressure cut-out switch, solid state time delay relay to prevent short cycling and frost control to stop compressor in the event of coil icing due to dirty filter, etc. The unit shall be fully serviceable from side access doors and external grilles.

The system shall be a model BTB__X__C__-RM as manufactured by The Birdwell Company in Houston, Texas (no equal). Manufacturer reserves the right to change any product specifications without notice.
