ETL certified by Intertek Testing Services to be in conformance with applicable UL and CSA codes and standards for Class I, Group C & D, Division II hazardous locations (general purpose optional). Four stages of particulate and chemical filtration to meet demands of I.S.A. "G1" level and absolute 99.97 percent efficiency on 0.3 micro particles. Maintains 0.1" w.c. building pressure to prevent contaminants from entering pressurized area. Exit doors should have air locks. Designed for low noise level, manned building application [Below 80Db Lw(A)]. Direct drive redundant pressurization blowers made of stainless steel for spark proof construction. Pressurization blower motors (1-1/2 Hp) available for optional voltages (208/230/460-3-60). Entire unit constructed of 16 gauge stainless steel. Adjustable stainless steel internal balance damper provides positive building pressure control. Primary and redundant blower backdraft damper made of aluminum with stainless steel continuous type hinges. Unique "Micro-SealTM" system (patent pending) assures 100 percent filtration of air with no by-pass around chemical and HEPA filters. Unit comes standard with remote alarm relay. Optional stainless or galvanized stack with rain cap and birdscreen. Optional gas detection relay and/or stack shut-off damper/motor.   BFPD Micro-filter units are redundant blower filter/pressurization systems designed to pressurize structures to prevent the entrance of contaminated air and to remove harmful gases such as SO2 and H2S. The unit is installed with the six inch offset through an outside wall, with the unit inside the building. It is usually connected with one or more BAC or BAC-WC units. An 8" diameter safe air stack is attached to the outside of the unit and extended to a clean air source. The unit contains a prefilter, chemical filter, refilter and HEPA filter capable of filtering particles down to 0.3 microns in size. Both blowers are rated for 950 CFM at 4.3" TSP each, with one blower being redundant. Unit options include air distributor with supply grille, stainless or galvanized steel rack with rain cap and bird screen, gas detection relay and stack shutoff damper/motor. These systems are usually used in refineries and chemical plant computer control rooms. The BFPD unit is ETL certified by Intertek Testing Services to be in conformance with applicable UL and CSA codes and standards for General Purpose, Class I, Division II, Groups B, C and D and Class I, Division I, Groups C and D hazardous locations. Operating voltages available are 208/230-3-60 or 460-3-60.
